We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders, software developers, data scientists, and the team to architect a DevOps infrastructure that meets requirements for 24x7 uptime, and efficient, frequent software delivery.
• Ensuring critical system security through the use of best-in-class cloud security solutions.
• System troubleshooting and problem-solving across platform and application domains.
• Leverage Ansible for managing infrastructure, including the development of well-formed Ansible code to configure Linux cluster environments that implement complex operational and security requirements.
• Assist with managing Docker/Kubernetes virtualization infrastructure in Linux, to support complex operational, development, and security requirements.
• Investigate and deploy infrastructure monitoring, alerting and logging tools for the DevOps infrastructure.
• Document and version control the IT infrastructure, using Git and Confluence; track/report work status in tickets using JIRA.
• Support and improve GitLab CI/CD system used for automating deployments of infrastructure servers, Kubernetes cluster(s) and applications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of AWS cloud management concepts and services (EC2, S3, RDS, A/ELB, EBS, VPC, Route53)
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, resolve & document RCA of highly complex environments
• Expert level understanding of Linux, containerization and serverless (ECS, Kubernetes)
• Thorough knowledge of DB configuration, concepts, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Security design theory knowledge as well as experience in designing, implementing, monitoring IaaS orchestration & configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef or SaltStack)
• Experience automating the deployment of multiple frameworks to (PHP, Laravel, NodeJS, Java, Python)
• Expert understanding of containerization concepts, orchestration CI/CD workflows
• Ability to implement a full CI/CD pipeline using automation
• Technical writing and documentation of architectural designs, application stacks, networks & security, processes
• Must be available for On-Call work

Nice to haves

• Implement automation tools to help with deploying, troubleshooting and maintaining cluster environments.
• Design, implement and manage build and release pipelines.
• Extend Kubernetes to help simplify researcher’s usage and operations.
